As you may remember in my previous blog post, I was a little disappointed that I couldn't go chasing in Dover on Wednesday night as I had plans for a wedding to attend (and I wouldn't have missed that for the world!). The wedding was well worth attending and allowed me to experience two UK-style storms whilst in Wales - definitely worth it!
Today I was tackling my tax-return and the stress of that and the concerns of the outcome of the EU referendum...I exasperatedly got up and stared out of my window. To my complete astonishment, there was a huge storm rolling towards me - with a nice shelf cloud leading its path.
Shelf cloud North of Bristol, UK, on June 25th 2016
Doing as I would if out on a chase in the states, I frantically scrambled for my camera and started taking photographs and video of the scene. Of course it is nowhere near as impressive as anything I would see in the States, but it was impressive to see anything remotely storm-like near Bristol.
Below is the video that I compiled from the footage of the storms. It's quite short and sweet compared to mini-chase documentaries I have produced recently, but hopefully you will enjoy.
