It brings me great sadness to say that during yesterday's storms in Texas, three storm chasers were killed in roadside collision near Spur, Texas. Kelley Williamson, Randall Yarnall and Corbin Jaeger all tragically lost their lives when Kelley allegedly ran a stop sign and caused the collision.
The story can be read on the CNN website, although be warned that the pictures do not make pleasant viewing. This reinforces the message that it is not the storms that are the biggest danger to chasers, but the roads and other road users.
I loved Kelley's live streaming of his chases and he was a well respected member of the chase community. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.
